Dementia/Alzheimer’s Care

Our Neighborhood for residents with memory loss was created in collaboration with the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. Our staff is specially trained under the direction of the Dementia Care Providers of America, and is credentialed as Qualified Dementia Care Providers. They can be identified among our staff by their green name tags.

We provide a full-time Therapeutic Recreation Director assigned to the 30 bed unit. Activities are designed around the resident's cognitive deficits.

Resident safety is our utmost concern. We have alarmed doors, a wandering alert system and additional staff available on the unit. Our flooring is designed to be anti-slip, wet or dry. The colors used and the lighted are non-reflective and soothing. We have a snoozelen room available as a scheduled activity and for a calming environment anytime.
